Americans Concerned About The Economy Are Turning To Internet Marketing Business

According to a new poll conducted by the New York Times/CBS News, Americans are very concerned over energy policies and the economy right now. The poll showcases the fact that Americans feel that the country needs an overhaul of its energy policies as well as more study into alternative forms of replacement oil within the next 25 years.

Conversely, the study shows that a majority of people are unwilling to pay higher gas prices in order to develop new fuel sources.

Due to recent happenings in the Gulf of Mexico related to the oil spill, the study highlights the political challenges that the Obama administration faces. Americans remain much more concerned about the nation’s overall economic issues and their jobs.

Many people are becoming more interested in creating their own business online than ever before due to the inability to get a job. Some folks simply feel like getting a regular job is no longer the stable and safe bet it used to be. In fact, many people are turning to activities such as Internet marketing and affiliate marketing is a way to create a high income at home.

The study even showcased that 54% of the public feels that President Obama does not have a clear plan for creating jobs. Many folks are finding it hard to be considered for a job if they have been unemployed for a good period of time.

According to Internet marketing experts, more and more individuals are turning in their business suits and long commutes for the opportunity to work from their computer, spend more time with family and create their own income.

Is GVO The Ultimate Marketers Toolbox?

When marketing on the internet, sometimes you feel like your head is going to explode! The amount of tools, systems, and services out there will make your head spin which make promises of easy riches when you use them.

Every day, there seems to be another "magic tool" that pops up promising millions of visitors to your site and large sums of money in your bank account....effortlessly.

It can get overwhelming and take focus away from what you should be doing to build your business.

As you know, there are tools out there that not only make your life easier, but keep your business running on auto-pilot for you.

The trick is to know which ones to focus on and which ones to stay away from!

Let's go through the essentials which every top internet marketer depends on a daily basis to run their million dollar businesses...

1) Web Hosting

Obviously, without hosting, the internet would be a pretty boring place to hang out. If you have a domain name, you need a place to host it so others can find you.

Hosting companies out there range from free all the way to over $500 a month for dedicated hosting.

The key is to find a company that provides 99% uptime and also provides 24/7 support in case you ever have a problem.

And of course, just like anything, you get what you pay for.

2) Auto-Responders

Have you heard the phrase, "The Money Is In The List?"

Well, having an autoresponder and building a list that knows, likes, and trusts you is the fastest way to literally pushing a button and having money coming in your bank account... faster than you can say... Hot Biscuits!

The formula is simple.

Create a page that gives something of huge value totally away for free. This could be a free report, a video lesson, an audio interview, or a live webinar.

Then, in exchange for your free information, the visitor will give you their name and email address.

And then the magic happens. You can follow up with them automatically and offer more value and even get them to buy something!

This is all done using an auto-responder, all automatically and efficiently for you.

Again, companies providing auto-responders range from $20 a month up to $99 a month.

3) Video Hosting

The internet is all about video. And without some type of video on your website, most people will simply not hang around.

Video allows you to bond with your visitor and create more trust than with just words on your site.

We've all heard of You-Tube for sure. But is a free service that is known for pranks, jokes, and music videos the right image for your business?

There's a reason the top marketers host their videos through paid services and you should to.

4) Website Builder and Prospecting System

99% of internet marketers don't have the time and/or the skills to create their own websites or prospecting pages. Trying to learn website design and html code is not the best way to spend your time.

That's where website builders come in. You simply customize your pages with your own video, product info, auto-responder, and you're done!

5) Live Webcasts

The most powerful way to sell is face to face. You get instant feedback and customers can ask questions and get their answers immediately.

Since we don't want to meet all our visitors in person... Webcasts are the next best thing.

We can sit in the comfort of our own homes and present to people all over the world. Product demonstrations, video overviews, live questions and answers, it's all possible with Webcasts.

If you're not using Webcasts in your business, you are missing out on thousands of dollars of sales.

Typical companies charge between $49 to $99 a month and more.

The Top 5 Essential Tools

These are the top five tools that every top marketer uses and depends on a daily basis to make sales on auto-pilot.

And you can too.

Now, you can get all these great tools from different companies and pay between $150 to over $350 each and every month.

Or, you can make the smart decision and get them all from one company and save a huge amount of money.

GVO offers all these tools under one roof and for only $1.45 a day. That's less than a Starbucks coffee!

And the best part is, for a limited time, you can take advantage of all these amazing tools and profit with them for a full 14 days for only a $1.

Don't decide now, use all the tools and see how powerful they are and how they will help explode your business online right now.

Learning The Secret To Internet Success

How many times have you seen the sales pitch that someone has unlocked the secret to internet success? Probably more than once. Now for a fee, they want to share the secret with you. Why? To get your money, of course and in order to get your money back, you can share the same secret with others. Consider how many people now have that secret and you can begin to wonder how many people are left in the dark.

In reality, there is no secret to achieving internet success. It takes hard work and a complete understanding of how making money on the internet works. It begins by having a product or service that people want or need and ware willing to pay for it and continues with how you get the word out that you have it for sale. Prior to the explosion of internet use, it was called advertising and for all intents and purposes, the same methods used then are used today to make sales.

The internet however has made it possible for people to sell things without actually delivering what you have paid for and too many people fall into the trap. No person of reasonable intelligence will send someone money expecting nothing in return, but there are some folks who will send out money hoping they get something back. When it does not happen, they chalk it up to experience and look for something else. If you are that type of person, there are a lot of people in the world who would be willing to sell you a bridge or two. Don't worry. You can get your money back be reselling the bridge to someone else.

If that sounds far fetched, consider some of the offers you have received in your in box. You can spend a lot of time reading the email and then click on to their website and read some more, never really knowing exactly what you will receive when you send in your money. After you pay the fee, you may receive an instant download explaining how you too, can convince others to send you money. You then send out the same email selling others the exact same information.

Very similar to sending a self-address stamped envelope and a couple of dollars to learn how to make money stuffing envelopes. You receive instructions on how to place the same advertisement inviting others to send you a couple of buck in a self-addressed stamped envelope so you can send them the same information. And the offers continue to be advertised, but few complain because after all it was only a couple of bucks.

The real secret to making money on the internet is there is no secret. It is done the same way as it has been done for centuries. Delivering on promises of goods or services and treating your customers with the respect they deserve will provide an income whether online or off line. Goods and services sell far better than promises.

Internet Marketing At Its Best

With the continued growth of the computer age, there is a whole new way of marketing a business. Especially for businesses who perform most of their transactions online. When reaching for online customers, internet marketing becomes the main target for your marketing efforts as it will attract the customers in your demographic – online users.

There are two distinct styles for online marketing, one is business marketing, the other is website marketing. With web site marketing the goal is to have people searching for particular services or products find your web site while conducting an online search through the major search engines. There are many facets involved in web site marketing and once a business is able to get them all clicking together, there is a good chance they will experience a major influx of new visitors to their web site.

One the other side are businesses that heavily promote their availability aimed at the internet users more so than the search engines. Buying internet advertisements, sending out emails and other promotional marketing materials that are designed to bring visitors to their online web sites, are just a few of the online marketing strategies being used today.

One of the things to remember with online marketing is to consider your home page as a billboard along the side of the road. If there is little traffic along the road, there will be few people who will see your billboard so your efforts should be focused on getting people on the right road. Looking at it from another perspective, there may be over a thousand people selling a certain brand of personal care items and they all have a web site, many provided free when they signed up and they all look alike and have the same enhancements.

If a person searches for the brand by name, there is no telling whose web site is going to pop up in the search results. If you own one of these thousands of sites, specific marketing will need to be done to guide that potential traffic to the site you own. To do this you can use pay-per-click advertising that you pay for based on the number of visitors who click through to your site.

Affiliate marketing is also a popular method of bringing visitors to your site. As a business, you agree to pay a certain percentage or dollar amount of a sale to another site, an affiliate, who drives the traffic to you. Essentially, you are gaining free advertising and only pay for it if your site makes a sale. While some link exchange programs have been successful in the past, having thousands of unrelated links to your site may turn search engines against you and lose your information from their engines and as a result from their results pages.

Importance Of Your Website

You might not know it, but whether your business is online or off line, your website is one of the most important things that you have in order to be a success. You want to be sure that you have the best website that you can possibly have, and that you are able to maintain it correctly. This is going to be what might get you your business, so be sure that you are working hard on it.

The first thing that you need to do is to have a good design for your website. Remember that this doesn't have to be something that is the most complex possible. When it comes to websites, lots of people want to be looking at a site that is neat and clean and that they can easily navigate. The best sites in the might be very simple, but they will all be sites that you can navigate easily, which will make them very popular.

There are lots of reasons that you want to be sure you are able to get your website as clear as possible. It is important that you are able to have a website that you can run on your own, even if you have someone else design it. Therefore, you should talk with the person that designs your website and see if they are able to show you how to update it on your own. That way you can have constant control over what is on your website and what you will be able to do with it.

The other thing that you want to be able to do is have enough web space so that you can get as much out of your site as possible. It is important that you are able to have a well organized site for this. It is important that you have a hand in the organization of your website, and that you are able to get as much out of it as you can. Remember that it is important that you can easily navigate this site so that when you are ready to have it open and accepting for your customers, you want to be sure that you are able to do this easily.

Your website is going to be one of the most important things that you have for your business. Therefore it should be something that you invest in. Remember that you are going to have lots of competition with your business, no matter what type of business you have. You have to be sure that you are able to get all you can out of the website, and you want to be sure that you are able to spend the money that it takes to make sure that this happens. Even if you have to spend your time designing your website and the money that it takes, it will end up being worth it if you are able to take advantage of the business that might come from a well designed web site.

Building A Marketing Network Today, Faces Scrutiny

Several multilevel marketing opportunities exist today that can help those without a job help make ends meet, but they be overlooked due to past experiences with a network marketing plan or by news reports about the number of people ripped off by multilevel marketing fraud. Unfortunately, the news is only interesting when someone does something stupid or wrong. Very seldom on independent reports is it talked about when someone actually is successful.

While it pays to be cautious when thinking about joining a marketing network, how building a network should also be balanced. That, however is probably not going to happen in the near future. As long as there are people willing to spend money on questionable business opportunities there will be others willing to take their cash.

As a result, honest network marketers are facing a more difficult time finding quality distributors to help sell their merchandise. The problem of fraud swings both ways on the pendulum of balancing business opportunities with those simply seeking an opportunistic way to get rich. The boom in the 1980’s and early 1990’s that highlighted everyone getting super rich with internet business made it an attractive alternative for many, including those who had no skills at all in running a business, let alone an internet marketing network.

Not everyone is destined to be a network marketing guru and as a result, there are a lot of failures in the business. Each failure results in mode bad publicity for the network marketing industry but the ones who achieve even a small level of success is not deemed newsworthy and many pass up amazing opportunities. It also takes time to build a quality and sustainable network and many who enter into a plan lack the patience to see the reward they were expecting to drop into their laps.

The prospect of instant riches from internet businesses may be waning, the number of people still pitching the opportunity remains the same, of not growing in to more unrealistic offers. Scrutiny of any offers should tell if a business is viable or only making money for the person making the job offer.

Some of the red flags about a potentially fraudulent offer include having to send money to find out what the company is selling. A person cannot possible know if they can be successful selling a product before they know what the product is. Additionally, contact information is usually limited on fraudulent sights. Even those offering a money back guarantee may simply be a name and an email address that could be non-existent within a week or two.

Offers without a physical, verifiable physical address, while not always, the majority of the time are not going to return the income claimed in propaganda. If an offer still looks good, and the location is available, simple do a little research online by going through different states attorneys general or better business bureaus to see if there is any record of complaints. If possible, read the complaints. Not all of them are legitimate but if many of them seem like they are, the scrutiny may have saved a lot of money.

This FREE report exposes the lies, myths and hype of the mlm industry. Don't even consider joining another opportunity until you read it! KnowTheTruth.biz

MLM versus Internet Marketing (Guest Article)

I am an active Internet Marketer (IM), but a few of the affiliate programs in my IM portfolio are also MLMs (Multi-Level Marketing). I have simply chosen Internet Marketing as the way I like best to promote them.

A few years ago, when I was involved in "traditional" face-to-face MLM, I did well enough in the income department, but I did not like weekly meetings, three-way and conference calls, and chasing people to join me - or once they joined, chasing them to be active themselves in promoting it.

Internet Marketing attracted me because first, I love marketing and promoting, second, I can do it on my own time, at my own leisure anytime, day and night, and third, because I believe I am "visual" and I need to think about things and examine them before acting. In other words, I am not typically "spontaneous" and never liked the demand in "traditional" MLM to think on my feet and make snap decisions or judgements. Some people are good at that. I am not.

Now I am thoroughly immersed in Internet Marketing and thoroughly enjoying it. The few MLM-style programs in my IM portfolio can be successfully developed via IM. Some of the team-building principles are the same - like training and sponsor support - but it can all be done via the Internet.

I suppose my point, and the bottom line, is you have to find what is right for you. Not only what product or program you want to promote, but also the style or method of promoting it.

There is no "best" or "right" way to market. It all comes down to the best fit for you, personally. That usually requires some time and effort on your part to research the opportunities, and it could mean some trial and error until you DO find that right fit, but the important thing is the goal. Where do you want to end up? How do you define success?

Once you determine the goal, you can then start putting the steps in place to achieve it.

MLM or Internet Marketing? Whatever it takes! Remember the saying, "If it's going to be, it's up to me."

Your eBay Business

One of the easiest and profitable ways to get off the ground with your own home based business is to start with an eBay account and a plan to start making money. An eBay business takes little to no startup capital and can wind up being as profitable and successful as the most prominent independent companies. It takes research, determination, and skill, but if you have these tools and a desire to learn, than you can make a success out of your eBay business.

Many businesses on eBay started off as little more than people seeing others around them selling off their unwanted merchandise, oftentimes for better prices than they would get in the classified section of their local paper. This is the way many eBay fortunes have begun. Simply look around your apartment or house and wonder at all the junk you have accumulated over the years. What is collecting dust today could be making you money tomorrow. Research a bit (which is as easy as browsing eBay for sold items) and see what you might be likely to get for your old, unwanted stuff. If the prices seem worth it to you, go ahead and start selling. At the very least, you’ll get your feet wet and see if eBay selling is something you might be interested in pursuing on a grander scale.

The next thing you’ll want to do is some broader research into the eBay world. First, make a list of about ten items you might want to sell on the auction giant. Then research these items and see how the competition is. It is possible to compete with established eBay companies, but this can be difficult for the fledgling startup. It would be far better to find a niche that seems to be mostly ignored, and target that base. It can even be a subset of a more popular and competitive market. Just by more specifically targeting the base, you can have a successful business on eBay.

Another way to make money on eBay, with almost no need for up front capital, is by selling informational e-Books. There is an entire section on eBay dedicated to these books. Surely you know how to do something better than anyone else you know. If not, research is your friend. If you can write, then you have all the tools necessary to create one of these powerful money making informational e-Books. It costs nothing, and you can sell it for any price you wish. The result, minus insertion fees, is pure profit.

Regardless of what you finally decide to sell, you will have to provide a decent product for a competitive price. Just like in the rest of the world (perhaps even more so), eBay is strictly run by the law of supply and demand. There is too much competition online to think you will make a success of your eBay business with anything less than full dedication and the perseverance needed to make any small company work in the long run.

Understanding Marketing Vs. Advertising

Many business owners get confused over two of the most common terms used, whether online or offline, and those are advertising and marketing. Essentially, the terms can be simplified with advertising referring to a particular product or service for a specified period of time and marketing is establishing the company's name and reputation. Although completely different in their theories, no businesses can survive without having a viable plan for both.

Advertising essentially is charged with having a product or service and creating a need or a perceived desire of the consumer to buy it. The advertising message is designed to create awareness that the product exists, how it will be of value to the consumer or make their lives easier because they have it and explain why they should buy it immediately. Many of today's advertisers, even internet advertisers use the four Ps of advertising of stating how the product benefits consumers, giving the price that reflects a great value for their money, informs the consumer of all the places they can find the product and promote the product for repeat or additional sales.

One of the downfalls of internet marketing has been the approach of marketing based on the company's objectives while ignoring the needs of the consumer and not taking profit into account. Many of the online marketers place their focus on recruitment of new distributors of a product or service and have no idea whether or not there is a need for the product. They also tend to take a shotgun approach to their marketing efforts, hoping at least one of several hundred shots will hit the target.

A pure marketing plan will anticipate the needs of the consumer and make information about the product available to the consumer before they realize they need it and want it. Planting this seed of desire can also help establish a higher price of the item and consumers are always willing to pay a premium price for something they believe they cannot do without.

While the principal of supply and demand has long been used to calculate prices on many products or services, it does not perform as well on internet service-based businesses. While supply and demand usually work together in creating market value, supply can influence demand causing an upward spiral in prices which can eventually lead to a lower level of demand.

In recent years, many electronic game companies have rigidly enforced the quantity of their products being produced or distributed, all the time using advertising to promote a perceived need for the product. While controlling the supply and advertising to increase demand, the price will drift higher in an open market.

To better define the difference, think about a favorite fast-food restaurant and if the first thing that comes to mind is one particular food item they sell, then advertising has done its job. If the first thing that comes to mind is the company's logo or a physical trait of their buildings, then marketing has won the battle.

Do you have what it takes to be an E-Entrepreneur?

Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
Author of "Dotcomology - The Science of Making Money Online"

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Do Not Let Search Engines Blacklist Your Network Marketing Product Site!

Which Internet marketer has not heard the horror stories of the multi level marketing (MLM) newbie who struck out for her- or himself without much help from an up line and probably also by disregarding each and every ounce of good advice offered by many a website and tutorial and instead built a website advertising the product or service for sale? Yet to the fledgling marketer’s surprise, no hits are being registered and in spite of tweaking and pruning the site every which way from Sunday, the traffic is still only trickling in, most of it being accidental rather than targeted. The sad reality is simple: unbeknownst to the new network marketer, the lovingly crafted site she or he spent so much time working on was blacklisted! Do not let search engines blacklist your network marketing product site!

Granted, the fledgling marketer from the example above probably was not quite as pure as the driven snow and instead may have engaged, wittingly or unwittingly, in some rather shady online practices which most major search engines will view as an immediate reason to blacklist the site. Here are some examples:
* Perhaps the most egregious offense is the use of irrelevant keywords within the website’s metatags or even within the body of the site just to generate more hits. Thus, if you are working on promotion a network marketing product related to wellness, the inclusion of several highly searched key terms, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, and various other ailments will get you blacklisted, especially if the wellness product is not at all tangentially related to any of these conditions.
* Submitting a website manually or automatically time and again to the same search engine is considered spamming. In the past it was done to ensure a higher ranking of the site, but with the modernization of the process, search engines are very sensitive to being spammed. Do it one too many times and your site will no longer be included in the search results.
* Beware the lure of the mirror site. Once again, this methodology is a blast from the past when it was thought to guarantee a higher ranking within the search engine’s ranking hierarchy. Yet with the advent of optimization procedures, mirror sites are considered to be a relic of the past and those who continue to utilize the technology that in the past allowed them to submit the exactly identical site with a different URL to a search engine will find that neither web address will be accepted.

There are a number of other tips, tricks, and schemes employed by those who design websites for their network marketing product. Do not fall for the lure of easy rankings at the expense of the integrity of your site. It is not just the search engine robots that catch on to your shenanigans, but it is also a more and more technologically astute populace that will realize your ploy and thus you will instantly lose a massive dose of credibility. This, in the Internet marketing business, is the death knell which must be avoided at all costs!

If you want to take advantage of one of most effective and "safest" ways to promote your site to search engines GO HERE.

An Exclusive Interview with Internet Marketing "Guru" Sam Robbins

For over a decade, Sam Robbins has been one of the top marketers
both on AND off the Internet. He has many successful businesses
and websites, has consulted small home-based businesses as well
as Fortune 500 companies ... and most importantly he's the first
to admit he's made a million mistakes along the way.

Anyway, this little introduction is not about Sam Robbins ...
but rather what Sam can do FOR YOU. I had the rare opportunity
to interview Sam recently ... and he has allowed me to make the
entire transcript available to our associates, FREE of charge.

Not only is this interview extremely valuable and informative
(Sam reveals the biggest keys to his success), but it's VERY
RARE! This is the first interview that Sam has done in over
two years, so pay close attention and listen to his wisdom!

Q. Sam, I know you've been involved in the launching of many very
profitable websites so let me ask you ... how do you know if a
site is going to be profitable? What "precautions" do you take to
increase the odds of success?

A. Well, there a million things that one needs to keep in mind
before starting a new project. But let's just keep it simple.
The main thing I keep in mind is to find or create a product
or service where a MARKET and a DEMAND for it already exists.

This reduces your risk tremendously ... and there is less
effort and money spent.

For example, we recently launched an awesome marketing tool at
www.AdMinder.com. It's VERY successful
mainly because it's something that ANY and ALL businesses need.
If your goal is to make even $1, AdMinder will help you do it.

We don't have to go looking for customers ... they come to US
because they need AND want to use it to make more money online.

Q. Right, excellent point. Now, once you've setup a new site
what's the very next thing you do?

A. Once we've designed a new site, integrated the order
processing system, etc. and everything is working properly, we
prepare to start advertising (the marketing campaign).

No matter how we promote (free or paid sources), the MOST
IMPORTANT factor is we make sure we have our tracking systems
in place so we know what's going on once the promotions begin
and the traffic hits.

We are spending valuable time and money on this and we aren't
going to do any guess work. We want SCIENTIFIC numbers telling
us what's going on, what's happened and what we need to do to
increase sales and profits.

Q. Ok right, you mean you setup some type of log analysis system?

A. That's what most people do, but no, that's not what I mean
at all. From a marketing standpoint, log file analysis is only
half the battle. Analyzing your server logs will tell you how
visitors are navigating your website, and what they do when
they arrive, but it won't give you the rest of the information
you need.

And generally speaking, for most people, it's very difficult
to really make good sense out of your log files. I know for
us, as our sites grow, the log files get more confusing and
less accurate.

Like I said, you logs only give you a small fraction of the
real information. For example, which of your ads and
promotions are generating the most traffic, and even more
importantly, the most sales (what's making you money - plain
and simple).

These are just a few that come to mind, but without this
information you're really just flying blind and wasting your
time and money.

Q. That's a good point and I'm glad you brought that up. So tell
us, exactly what kind of stats and other information do you
track?

A. In order to maximize the return on our investments (ROI) in
advertising, we carefully monitor a whole bunch of things.
Such as:

* Unique visitors generated by each ad or promotion

* Number of sales generated by each ad or promotion

* Which ads are generating the most traffic and sales

* Cost-per-click, cost-per-sale, and clicks-to-sales
ratios for each ad or promotion

* Return on investment, or ROI, for each ad or promotion

Those are the most important bits of information that we
monitor on a minute-by-minute basis. Aside from ROI, my
favorite stat is the clicks-to-sales ratio because it gives a
great indication of the "quality" of traffic that is being
generated by each ad or promotion.

For example, just last week I ran the same ad in 2 different
but supposedly "targeted" e-zines. One of the ads is resulting
in an average of 1 sale per every 36 visitors, and the other
ad is only generating 1 sale out of every 152 visitors. You
tell me, which of these e-zines would you prefer to advertise
in? =)

Q. Yeah, that would make a big difference especially when you are
dealing with numerous ads.

A. Right. EXACTLY! See, if you are only doing one or two ads,
you can track everything manually. It's not that big of a
deal. It's not that stressful. But as your ads grow and your
"repeats" ads, you're going to go crazy trying to track
everything. Before you know it, it becomes too much of a
hassle and you stop.

Q. Hehe ... good point. We hear that all the time. And you know,
it's very true. If things are complicated or too difficult to do,
people just won't do it.

A. Simplicity, that's the key! We are all too busy these days
to be doing "monkey work".

Q. What about general promotions and non-paying advertisements.
How do you deal with those? Do you even track them?

A. Yes! Most definitely. Heck, we make just as much money off
of our "free" promotion tactics as we do with our paid (maybe
more). It's not just about saving money, it's about saving
time as well.

That's why we track ever and any type of promotion.

For example, let's say you have a newsletter or e-zine and in it,
you have links for various affiliate programs or articles at
your own site that sell something indirectly. You can track to
see which TYPE of article or promotion did the best.

If an article about e-zine advertising was 3 times more
effective at bringing traffic BACK to your site then an
article on banner advertising, you will know to spend the
majority of your time posting and distributing the e-zine
article.

Does this make sense?

Q. Yes it does. We tried to do this with some "viral marketing"
type of promotions in the past. But after a few weeks, we were
overwhelmed and didn't know what was working and what wasn't. We
knew that we had an increase in traffic and sales, but just
wasn't sure how.

A. Right. Well, live and learn. We all make these mistakes.
But the problem is that someone reading this article will
realize it, but WILL NOT DO ANYTHING about it.

That's not making a mistake. That's just being stupid. There
are specific ways and reasons why people make money ... and
others do not. Now that you know tracking is vital, DO IT!

Q. I guess "change" takes longer in some people than others. But
the sooner you welcome "change", the sooner you will free up time
and make more money.

A. Yup. Well said!

Q. Sam, the word on the Internet is you're the one who invented
the "Automatically Double Your Profits Every Month" tactic. It's
a fantastic business plan. Simple and proven. How did you come up
with it?

A. Oh yeah, that formula rocks! But I didn't come up with it.
I'm probably the first to present it to the Internet world,
but I learned something similar to it years ago when I did
consulting for infomercials. I added my own twist to it. But
no, I don't think I've ever invented anything. =)

Q. How does it work exactly?

A: Well, I've already presented the exact "formula" at our
site -- www.adminder.com. So, best for
your readers to just go there since I don't like to repeat
myself and bore those that already have read about my formula.

But I'll give you a simple explanation of it and a different
"twist" for those that already use the formula.

Frank Bettger, a phenomenal salesman of the 1930s, shared the
secret of his success in his classic "How I Raised Myself From
Failure To Success In Selling". After analyzing his first
year's sales, Bettger discovered that 70% were made on the
FIRST interview, 23% on the second interview and only 7% on
the third.

His greatest revelation was that he spent HALF of his time
going after that last 7 percent! When he realized this, he
began concentrating his efforts on those FIRST interviews and
nearly DOUBLED his income overnight!

Q: Wow... great story. That's a great way to explain your system
to other people. I guess the key to it all was that Mr. Bettger
kept records and "tracked" everything and then analyzed it.

A: Yes, precisely! Heck, with all of the great technology that
we have today, not many people track their promotion efforts.
Just imagine if Bettger didn't track anything. YEARS would go
by and he would continue to make the same mistakes ... wasting
valuable time and money.

Yet, by analyzing his work, in only a few minutes he realized
exactly what he needed to do to increase his sales, make more
money and save time.

Q: Yeah, it's pretty amazing. Once you have a good tracking
system setup, it only takes minutes to analyze the results and
know what's working, what isn't and WHY!

A: Right. Now, the hardest part is just doing it. Getting
started seems to be a problem for most. They think it will
take a lot of time and effort setting up a tracking system.
But if you know where and what to look for, it's simple, fast
and almost free.

Q: Okay, so let's say you are new to all this or you've been
wanting to setup some tracking system in the past, but got lazy
and procrastinated. What would you tell people? How or where
should they start?

A: Well, there are a million ways of doing something. Let me
go over a few of the options and you can decide what's best
for you.

You can buy special software that will do all the tracking for
you. The problem is that they are VERY expensive and very
difficult to use. Most people aren't "tech" smart and won't
know how to use all the features of a program.

Your next option is to purchase a script. This is good. But
the problem is that most are just glorified "hit" counters.
They don't track the important stuff ... the specifics that
you would need to know. I have found a couple that were pretty
good, but they were also very expensive and the installation
was crazy. Multiple scripts needed to be installed and your
server had to have some special settings and so forth. The
server had to be strong enough to also handle all the data
being processed. Again, most people just don't have the "tech"
knowledge or the time or the money to do it on their own.

Your last option is to use a web-based service. There are a
few. As with everything, a few are horrible, a few are okay
and a couple are good.

Because it costs you no setup time or hardware or programming
knowledge or special servers or any of that stuff, I'd
recommend for most to do a web-based service. At the very
least, give it a try for a few months and just see how it
goes. There are no contracts or anything like that. You get to
test things out, risk free.

Q: I totally agree that the web-based versions would be best
suited for 98% of the people reading this. Now, who do you
recommend?

A: I'm not going to recommend anything to anyone. I'm
biased and I'm not going give my opinion on any specific
company. But all I can say is that whatever was out there,
I did NOT like and am NOT using. That's why we designed our
own custom system and that's why some of the much larger
companies on the Net are now using our system.

It's precise, complete, proven and guaranteed. Let me ask you,
what do YOU like that's out there?

Q: Oh no ... don't put me on the spot. =) Okay, I'll be honest
with you. I really love www.AdMinder.com/ -
it works the best by far, it's the simplest to use, it's got the
most features for tracking, analyzing and managing all of your
promotions. And ... here's my favorite - it's the cheapest!

A: What else do you like about it?

Q: Okay, let's not forget who's giving the interview here
(laughing!) ... I'm the one in charge. =)) In all honesty, this
is why I did the interview to begin with ... I was very impressed
with all of your sites and how your run your businesses. I've got
a million other questions to ask you. But I think we'll save it
for another time.

A: Sure, sounds good and thank you for the kind words.

Q: Thank you very much for your time.

A: My pleasure. Bye.

Promoting Business With Online Marketing Savvy

Promoting an internet marketing business online requires many steps, beginning with the webmaster who, has to make the site search engine friendly. As important as search engines are to being found on the internet, making it friendly to humans is equally, if not more important because humans are going to be the ones surfing your site and looking for information and products you have to sell.

Make a user unhappy on their first visit to your site and you will never see them again. Make the site appealing to look at and easy to navigate and they will be back. Make it load quickly and the odds are they will visit the site. When they sit for more than four or five seconds and page is still loading, they will run out of patience without ever seeing what the page looks like.

Consider your own level of patience when you are surfing the internet. Pages that load slowly or are hard to navigate get little respect from you, so expecting your potential customers to put up with it is unrealistic. If there is going to be a delay in navigating to another page, give them advanced warning. Chances are if they expect it, they will wait, but if it ends up being just a little progress bar on the screen, they do not have time for that.

One of the biggest complaints from web surfers are pages that are designed to look good that slow them down in their quest for information and those that require them to search for information they are looking for. Walk your internet site like a customer to make sure it is friendly for them to use.

Making your site optimized for search engines has taken on a new meaning as the search engines began thinking more like human users. The biggest things important to search engines are the title of the site, does information available on the site provide any real value to the users and is the site easily indexed by the search engine spiders? The title can make a huge difference in being found on the internet. While the name of the businesses is important at the top of the site, the title should be relevant to what a person searching for your site would type into a search engine.

Unless the user visiting you for the first time types in Joe’s Lapidary, for instance, the result will probably show no results. If they are looking for leather shoes, they will most likely enter ‘leather shoes’ as their search term and a title such as Joe’s Lapidary Home of Leather Shoes may get their attention. Think about the title. It should be aimed more to what you are about and less about who you are.

Including a page of nothing but certain key words on your home page may get the search engine’s attention but once it sees the information there is useless to humans your site will be listed on the last page of the search results, if at all. Quality, informative information will let the search engines know you have something of value for your site’s visitors.

Are You Ready To Start An Online Home Business?

A dream come true for virtually anyone who owns a computer is the notion of being able to make money with this computer. Who would not love to be able to turn on the computer, spend a few hours in front of it, and make some money? In the early days of Internet commerce, this notion was exemplified with the downloadable bits of software that would place ad driven search bars on top of your screen which would reward you for every hour your surfed the ‘Net while having up the search bar and viewed the ads being displayed. Obviously, this mode of making money while surfing he ‘Net went by the wayside, but not until there were quite a few individuals who were able to get some sizeable checks!

Fast forwarding to today, the online home business market is booming! Sadly, so are the scam artists who are seeking to take advantage of those who are dreaming of working from home and would like to use their computer doing it; fortunately, with a bit of common sense, they are easy to spot. First and foremost, if you are ready to start an online home business, do not sign up for anything that is advertised on a website that seems to go on forever and even by the time you have scrolled down past the ad for the e-book and the various testimonials from satisfied clients who are allegedly raking in the dough, you still do not know what the business is all about. It is most likely a scam and not worth your time, effort, or money.

Consider using your talents and abilities to be used online. Are you an artist? If so, there is always a market for graphics; put together a portfolio and shop it around. Are you a dog trainer? Set up your own website, and sell your online course, e-book, or whatever else you may be able to do online. Are you a savvy webmaster who knows how to optimize websites to make them search engine friendly? If so, you have just found your business. If you have a store or a garage full of used items in great condition, open up a storefront on eBay and see what you can do. As you can see, starting an online home business is not as hard as you may think and many of your talents and skills are easily transferable into the virtual realm which is the ‘Net.

Overall, when you are ready to start an online home business, the Internet is ready and waiting. It requires a bit of ingenuity and the ability to think outside the box, but by and large this is the least expensive way of starting a work from home career that will leave you able to spend time at home with your friends and family, set your own hours, and utilize all the skills you already have. You are in complete control of how little or how much you work and for those with otherwise demanding schedule this is a great way of making a little extra money, while those who have a lot of time may soon find that this online business is replacing their full time day job!

Building Marketing Network With Advertising

A business or a person can build the best web site on the internet, offer the best product or service on the market at the best price and still not gain any sales. Some may even have to add franchises or affiliates in order to give their businesses a boost but the main idea is that without anyone knowing about the business it will eventually fail.

For any business one of the main keys to success is advertising, but there are unique challenges that are presented to internet businesses because there may be thousands of companies that offer similar opportunities and advertising is the largest determining factor in which site the buying public will choose to visit. Many feel slick campaigns and expensive marketing plans are the best option, but these often fall short of expectations, especially when there are a lot of distributors around the world each with their own individual marketing campaign.

Some may gain benefits from strategic advertising plans, in order for a business to have growth it needs to count on an advertising marketing network of distributors or word of mouth from the users of the product or service. One way of creating an advertising network in a large sense is affiliate marketing since it offers owners of other web sites a percentage of income generated by sales referred by advertisements on their web site.

Typically companies will advertise their web site since the owners want to create sales for the companies with which they are affiliated. Once visitors arrive at the site they can choose to visit the company’s main site and make a purchase. Often the fee for an affiliate site is usually less expensive than any advertising the company would need to do to achieve similar results. An example would be that if a thousand affiliates spend fifty dollars to advertise their site then the business would be receiving the benefit of fifty thousand dollars in advertising.

While the site will typically have only one affiliated business on their site, the company can track which sites send them the most traffic and resulting sales. This allows the companies to get rid of the ones that offer no help and then reward the ones that have the best performance history in order to keep their best producing affiliate happy and willing to continue the advertising efforts.

Another reason company’s use testimonials from satisfied customers is because of the need for advertising, looking to simulate word of mouth advertising which essentially should be free. Often customers will be wary of paid endorsements, especially from celebrities, but interest can be generated from unsolicited platitudes from everyday people in a product that is for everyday customers. If the satisfied customer tells a friend about this wonderful product it is especially helpful and many companies offer referral rewards for such sales.

A national company embarked on a referral plan a few years ago that noted how an individual can tell two people, who then tell two more people, who then continue to tell two more people and so on that describes how word of mouth advertising is the best way to build up an advertising network.

Business Consultant - Work At Home Internet Business Or Scam?

In your efforts to find a business opportunity to use so that you may work from home, you may have run across a website that offers you the ability to become a business consultant. The website looks great: it is professionally done, does not feature the usual fare of changing fonts and reproduced checks, is devoid of get rich while you sleep promises, and to boot the business opportunity would make you a franchisee of a nationally recognized company without having to invest an arm and a leg! To say that you are intrigued is an understatement, but is this a genuine work at home Internet business or is it a scam?

As odd as it may sound, the answer to this question depends on you! Consider what the opportunity may afford you:

* In a business to business marketing effort, you will deal with professional clients on a daily basis, using your interpersonal skills to help other business professionals succeed in their chosen professions.

* You will combine your knowledge of software applications and also hardware peripherals with your understanding of a business’ needs to ascertain if their technical needs are being met or if additional software solutions will spell increased profitability and productivity for the business.

* As you recognize the business’ needs, you will make suggestions on how to increase the business Internet exposure and visitors and therefore increase the amount of qualified leads that may introduced to the business without the company having to increase its advertising budget.

All of these facets are part and parcel of becoming a business consultant and while many of the websites who offer you this kind of franchise opportunity promise that with their training and promotional materials you cannot help but succeed, the ‘Net itself is at times the most compelling proof that this is not always the case. Consider the fact that in order to become a business consultant you need to actually understand business on an intuitive level. While you might be trained to a certain extent, being able to quickly grasp a business and operating your franchise from a position of authority born from knowledge or experience, book knowledge will not make the sale.

Similarly, when deciding if being a business consultant is work at home Internet business or scam, consider other franchisees. Run a search on the business. If you find that other franchisees are running sites much like an affiliate network, you can quickly ascertain that rather than being a franchisee, you will become more of an affiliate marketer or part of a multi level marketing down-line than an independent entrepreneur. As always, you cannot make something out of nothing, just like you cannot make a business consultant out of a novice who is truly clueless when it comes to business matters at hand. Conversely, if you are not only Internet savvy but also have a keen sense for business, albeit you may not have had a lot of training or education in the field, then this might be an opportunity worth looking into. After all, every successful home based business begins with the entrepreneur’s talent or special skill and builds on it!

Resort Vacations Available Around The World

For about 20 years, Gold Crown Resorts sold vacation packages for between $8,000 and $12,000 without any opportunity make any money. This meant that people were buying into the resort vacation club to take vacations, expecting nothing in return but a great vacation. They have recently merged to form a second company that is offering a business opportunity to those who want to experience a new lifestyle.

They also dropped the price of their vacation packages, making them more affordable to a wider range of people and sell them in a global market. Their members are not limited by geography and the member hotels and resorts have far fewer black out dates than many other plans. Meaning, there is more flexibility in planning a vacation around your schedule instead of planning it around available accommodations.

Additionally, people who want to earn a residual income can join a team that can make as much as $1,000 on every qualified sale of a product that has been sold for considerably more money. They can earn money with a commission from other successful sellers of vacation memberships that they recruit into the company.

With many internet marketing opportunities there is what is called a two-up rule, meaning the commission on the first two sales go to the person who recruited you into the business, eliminating your first two commission checks.

Other companies may also require annual or monthly maintenance fees but with membership at Global Resort Network there is only the initial charge, not other fees to pay to the company…ever. Compared to some vacation clubs that can charge an annual fee of up to $900 this is a significant savings.

Discounts available are not limited to resort hotels as they can be used on cruise and at ski reports. Some of the savings may include seven-night stays are four and five-star resorts for between $300 and $700, depending on the time of year. There are also special weeks where the hotels offer even bigger discounts to Global Network members.

The biggest advantage is having access to a global market of resorts and the pay plan for those choosing to participate in the selling aspect can allow the to receive commission on their sales and well as commissions on the sales of those they recruit for what the company call in perpetuity. This cannot only provide a steady and improved level of income but it can also provide future income for better financial security; this process is called Perpetual Leverage.

While the pay plan is centered on driving new business by recruiting new sales associates, the primary goal is to sell vacation packages through the companies web site as well as through personal contact. Many participants believe it is the best way for potential customers to learn about all the benefits of the packages as well as being able to get instant answers to any questions they may have.

Support by the company is available should any problems crop up while on a trip and someone will be available to help straighten out any kinks in the travel plans.

Businesses Watch For Network Marketing Opportunities

Just as businesses used to be on the look for creating a network among local businesses to improve relationships, the global market has changed the landscape, requiring businesses to look around the world for network marketing opportunities. While marketing to a global audience may not be in the best industries of every business, those that sell products online have found it vastly increases their customer base. They have also found it can help them achieve their sales goals and by creating an online network, it can also improve their opportunities.

Even the professional marketing companies of 10 or 15 years ago have had to learn a new aspect of internet marketing. It used to be fairly easy to design a marketing product representative of a business’s expertise and send it out to companies that may have a use for their services or products. If the marketing piece was interesting enough, even if it did not spark immediate sales, it stayed in the minds of the recipients and when they needed the service, the company would get the call.

Back in the mid-20th century one of the most often used marketing techniques were small, desk top calendars with a company’s name and logo. They were used by insurance companies, pharmacies and many other industries as a means of giving the public something they could use all year while keeping their name visible. One of the challenges companies face with internet marketing is the opportunity to provide something potential customers can use for an extended period and keep their name in the spotlight.

This is where web logs, electronic magazines and electronic newsletters began to make their appearance as well as free web content for new businesses. While sending marketing pieces to companies remains a popular option, reaching more customers is the goal. Offering timely, usable information to industry-specific companies can be one method of getting the company’s name in the light on a regular basis. While monthly newsletters are common, weekly newsletters that contain less information are becoming more popular with the recipients.

Web logs, better known as blogs have begun to take on a marketing life of their own with companies paying people to visit certain blogs and write information beneficial to the company. There have also been individuals that began a blog about a specific subject and generate a large following with visits registering several thousands every day. When companies see this, if their product is related to the blog they may be induced to advertise on the site to let interested persons know about their services.

For example, a person who writes about sports in general or about a specific team and generates a lot of interest, companies selling sports equipment may benefit by advertising on the individual blog as its readers are obviously interested in sports. By focusing their marketing efforts to a target audience, they can realize a better return on their investment in their internet marketing budget. Some companies have even started their own blogs to offer information about their products to an interested internet public.
