MLM Myth Series - MLM Is All About Recruiting

99% of network marketing opportunities operate in basically the same way. They all have a range of products for you to sell and profit from, and you can find other people to do the same, and also profit from what they sell.

By setting up the opportunity this way they achieve a number of important goals: You don't have to fear competition [you profit from them], you have an incentive to grow the total number of company representatives, and you can continue to make money even when you've stopped working.

Now that's great, and you'll certainly make more money if you introduce more people into the business, BUT... you DON'T need to get anyone to join, and you don't need to be responsible for anyone else's success.

I'm going to destroy this extremely popular myth right now: You CAN earn decent money simply by selling products to people who want them.

Once you've built up your customer base and you know where to go to get your orders, you can earn a reliable income and enjoy yourself in the process.

Some people don't like the idea of recruiting other people into their business. And that's absolutely fine! How do they get around it? Simple. They just don't do it!

Some people you will come across truly believe in this myth, and they will see a non-recruiting network marketer as a waste. But here's what you need to remember: This is your business and it's up to you how you run it.

If you're happy selling products to people and don't want to take it any further, then just focus on building a large customer base to provide you with a stable income for years to come.

Still not convinced? Think about this...

How many companies do you buy from in any given week? If you're like most people your answer is probably several dozen. Now, how many of those companies try and recruit you to go and work for them, and to sell their products? Probably zero!

That's because they already work to a solid business model. They provide products, they find people who want them, and they sell lots. It's already a winning solution. They don't need to recruit extra people in order to make wild profits.

This business model is exactly the same as the "marketing" aspect of "network marketing". An already proven and profitable business model.

Again, if you don't want to recruit other people you don't need to.

Don't let this myth guide you off course!

To Your Success,

What is 'Magnetic Sponsoring'?

What is 'Magnetic Sponsoring'?

Magnetic Sponsoring is a pretty common term in the world of network marketing. Most people have heard of it. As a network marketing system that was developed by Mike Dillard, Magnetic Sponsoring has gotten a lot of press over the years since its introduction to marketers everywhere. Let's take a look at what this program is about, what it does and why it's different.

Magnetic Sponsoring is a solution to a problem. The problem of recruiting. That's probably the best thing I can tell you about it. The system shows you how to create the type of life you desire through multi-level marketing by finding and recruiting great people into your business.

Magnetic Sponsoring teaches you to develop your reputation as a trusted expert in your field. This means that instead of having to chase people for the sake of telling them about your opportunity and risking irritating and alienating them, you become attractive to them as a business associate. People come to you. This solves the common problem of prospecting. You become a farmer instead of a hunter.

Think about this for a moment. One of the biggest pains for most network marketers is chasing down prospects. And cold-calling? Forget about it! The number of people on the whole planet who actually enjoy cold-calling is... well, almost non-existent! Most of us can't stand it. So why do it?!

The basic premise of Magnetic Sponsoring is this:

 You learn about attraction marketing, including how to effectively create an online presence that leads prospects and customers to you – you don't have to do any chasing.
 You learn about the funded proposal system. Funded proposals let you earn money from the beginning. This helps you sustain growth in your business from the first moment and helps you keep the momentum going during critical growing stages.
 You learn how to use all the tools (there are a lot of them!) the Internet offers for creating your business and building your system.
 You learn how to continue to grow your downline and business with advanced techniques.

All these things are important. But my favorites to talk about are attraction marketing and funded proposals.

Attraction marketing is such a great concept, and it works. This is not some sort of mumbo-jumbo either, it's a specific system that can be learned and put into action for getting people to notice you and your products and opportunity. Once you have that set up people will be asking you if they can join your business!

It's so much better doing business this way because the people who come to you are primed and ready to get started!

The other thing that I really love is the idea of funded proposals. A funded proposal is this: You offer a great quality, but fairly inexpensive product to your target market. When a customer buys this product, a couple good things happen. First you've gained a pre-qualified prospect - they've shown a genuine interest in what you're offering and will likely also be interested in your products and opportunity. Second, you've made a bit of money to help pay for advertising and continuing to grow your business. For these reasons, funded proposals are very, very effective!

Add in some killer knowledge about how to use the Internet and all it's tools to your advantage, and how to keep growing your business, and you've got a winner of a system. That's why Magnetic Sponsoring is different! And that's why you should apply it to your business!

Some Network Marketers Never Seem Happy With Their Job

Practically everyone knows someone who has a new business proposition just about every week. It could be a relative, a close friend or neighbor that is constantly pushing the next great idea that promises to make everyone they know enough money to live on for the rest of their life. Very few of these acquaintances however, will ask about last week's plan because either they did not pay enough attention to know about it, or they just do not care.

In most cases, it is a case of misplaced trust and over enthusiasm. Network marketers love these kinds of people. They are the ones that easily convinced to join their program and they try to use the same sales pitch that they fell for on everyone in their warm network. That is, the people they feel closest to that probably aren't going to slam the door in their face or hang up on them when they call. They probably have Caller ID and simply don't answer their phone when they see it is from them.

They always seem to be on their cell phone, dressed in designer clothes and always seem to be on their way to meet someone important. One thing you cannot fault them for is their enthusiasm. The problem is, most of these marketing addicts have one thing in common, in that they expect instant gratification and when reality sets in about their current love, they dump it as quick as they signed on and move on to another, more promising project.

It is the hook that these folks jump on and the minute the line gets a little tight, they want to spit out the hook and find another tasty bait. They believe all the hype about earning a lot of money in a hurry and when it doesn't happen, they are on the prowl for a new idea. If they would spend as much time working on their current project as they spend on seeking out new ones, they would probably be a lot richer by now and not seem so desperate when they meet their personal network.

They truth is, they are wallowing in the promises of fast, easy money and when they discover they have to offer training to their down line and may have to actually do some work, they think they have been swindled. They probably were, but it isn't because they don't have to work, it's because they believed they could get rich on someone else's labor. They forgot about the need to train others.

Their upline may make a call or two to them to see what they can do to help them out, but most of the time they really do not care if one of their members drops out. Anyone they may have recruited now belongs to the next person in their up line and there will be thousands of others ready to take their place in the line. It is a constantly flow of fresh bodies that keeps many of the marketing programs alive and neighbors and family on their toes.
